01 The Noise

About breathwork

The average person checks their phone 150 times a day.

We live in the most distracting era in history. Focus has become a luxury. Anxiety, a constant companion. Amid the endless noise, breathwork is more than a wellness trend; it's a way to reconnect with ourselves. Deep breathing lets energy flow freely through the body again, dissolving blockages caused by chronic stress, unresolved tension, and the demands of modern work.

Each conscious exhale releases what we unknowingly carry. The result isn't just momentary calm; it's sustained clarity, felt in both body and mind. Intentional breathing doesn't take your team away from the work. It reconnects them to it.

02 The Practice

Backed by research

Breath as medicine, now proven by science.

Drawing from Tummo and other ancient breathing traditions, Wim Hof brought his practice under scientific scrutiny. In 2011, researchers at Radboud University showed that people trained by him could voluntarily influence their autonomic nervous system and immune response, something science had long considered impossible.

Since then, people around the world have been reconnecting with their breath and rediscovering its healing power. What ancient traditions always knew, modern research now confirms: breath is medicine.

03 For Teams

How I help companies

For teams that want more.

I lead breathwork and yoga sessions for teams, leadership retreats, wellness programs, or a single afternoon that leaves a group more connected and energized than when they arrived. Every session is built around the room. A leadership team looking to strengthen their culture needs something different than a hospitality team learning to hold space for guests, or a group of psychologists supporting thousands of students. I've led all three. Damanna is trusted by organizations like Las Qolqas Lodge in Peru, the Colombian Government, and Copenhagen's Arp-Hansen Hotel Group, among others across the Americas and Europe.

04 About
Mati Obando portrait

About

The story.

Established in 2024, Damanna is the teaching practice of Matías Obando, a Chilean breathwork instructor, yogi, and art curator with a decade of daily Ashtanga yoga, breathwork, and meditation. Damanna's focus is helping people raise their energy, find inner peace, and release stress through the breath. Through breathwork, yoga nidra, and guided meditation, this practice reaches individuals, teams, and organizations across the Americas and Europe.

It began personally. At 18, Matías left tennis, and asthma and paralyzing anxiety followed. Nothing worked until daily yoga, breathwork, and mindful nutrition changed everything. Since 2024, he helps people around the world connect with their breath and inner-strength.
